Hypoglycemia aggravates critical illness induced neurocognitive dysfunction. Diabetes care

Summary: Hypoglycemia was found to aggravate critical illness induced neurocognitive dysfunction to a limited but significant extend, however, an impact of hyperglycemia and fluctuations of blood glucose on neurocognitive function cannot be excluded.
